My Name is Michael Licon and I am the owner of Victor Valley Barbers. I wanted to give you a brief history about how I started in barbering and ended up here in the High Desert. In 1987 my best friend Joseph Hurtado “Eddie” attended Royal Hair Institute Barber College in East L.A. He became a barber which persuaded me to do the same, so I attended the same college and became a licence barber in 1989. I grew up in Boyle Heights and I am so fortunate that I did not get caught up in gangs. Although there were some tough times, I made it through.

I worked at many different barber shops eventually making my way up to the High Desert where I started a family and my business. I have enjoyed barbering now for the last 20 years. Although I have worked at Victor Valley Barbers since 2000 I have been the owner since 2007. I am very happy with all the people & clients I have met and have had the privilege of cutting their hair over the years.
